Write for us
Global News Collective welcomes pitches that help general readers understand an enduring feature of international affairs. A strong proposal has a clear question, a defined scope and a reason the subject matters beyond a passing headline.
What to propose
We consider explainers about international institutions, agreements, shared challenges, cross-border relationships and the terms readers encounter when following world affairs. A pitch should identify the central question, the intended reader and the main points the piece would clarify.
What makes a strong pitch
Keep the proposal focused and show how you would explain the subject in plain English. Tell us what context readers need, what can be established, and where the limits or uncertainties lie. Do not send a finished article unless we have agreed to review one.
How to send it
Send proposals through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. Include a concise summary and any relevant writing samples or background you want us to consider. A proposal is not a promise of publication, and we may not be able to respond to every submission.
Context comes before certainty
International affairs rarely fit into one headline. We explain the actors, terms and relationships that help make a story understandable.
